Daytona Beach Community College The Human Services program with an Addiction Specialization prepares students for employment in the field of addiction specific human services. Florida Community College at Jacksonville This Human Services program with specialization in Addictions Counseling provides basic education in the areas of addictions and counseling set forth by the Florida Certification Board’s Certified Associate Addictions Professional Level I. This A.S. degree articulates into four-year programs with both the University of North Florida and Nova Southeastern University.
St. Petersburg College This Human Services associate degree program provides opportunities for up to 73 hours of course work. Many of these courses are specific to substance abuse treatment knowledge, skills and attitudes. Students have the ability to learn these techniques in preparation for movement to a four year degree program. The curriculum consists of a comprehensive examination of methods used in the identification, intervention, prevention and treatment of substance abuse and evaluation of the environment in which these processes take place.
Valencia Community College Valencia Institute, Orlando and Winter Park Valencia Institute delivers continuing workforce education workshops, seminars, courses and programs designed to meet the learning and professional development needs of the workforce. Their CAPTrack (in the adult continuing education, Health Professions division) prepares addiction professionals for certification.
