Graduate Degree Programs

FloridaNova Southeastern University
This Master's Degree Program in Substance Abuse Counseling and Education is a home-based master's of science degree program designed specifically for those interested in addiction treatment, prevention, education, and/or management. This program is ideal for the working professional. This specialization was developed in recognition of two generalizations about the field.

FloridaFlorida International University
The Florida International University has a certificate program offered as an option to those students who are seeking a Master of Social Work degree. This certificate meets all of the educational coursework requirements of the Florida Certification Board for the Certified Addiction Professional (CAP). Click on the course requirements button then scroll down to the Certificate Programs section.

AlabamaTroy State University
Montgomery and Dothan Campuses
Click on degrees offered then the graduate catalog to obtain information on substance abuse courses offered at Dothan and Troy campuses under the Master of Science for Counseling and Psychology section.

FloridaUniversity of Central Florida
The Addictions Certificate can only be taken as part of the Master of Social Work program. An application to the graduate certificate program and official transcripts must be submitted. The program is targeted to degree-seeking students with an interest in addictions who would like to complete the certificate at the same time as they work on their degree and Practitioners who need continuing education units for re-certification or re-licensure.
