Evaluating the Impact
Measuring the efficacy and success of ATTC initiatives related to improving addictions treatment and change within related systems is an essential part of what we do. This section on the website is devoted to evaluation. As the work of the SCATTC proceeds, you will be able to find reports that address the impact of our education and systems change initiatives. Over the next few months, this section will feature our evaluation instruments which will be available for download.

Substance Abuse Treatment Workforce Survey
The SCATTC has conducted four large scale surveys of substance abuse treatment professionals to assess current workforce development issues in Alabama and Florida The first survey of treatment counselors was completed in 2002 - the "Substance Abuse Treatment Workforce Survey, Staff Version." In 2004 a survey was administered in Florida to directors of substance abuse treatment agencies. Both the Counselor and Agency Director surveys were adminisered in Alabama in 2006. Reports of survey findings can be accessed from this website under Products.

SCATTC plans to undertake a second counselor workforce survey in Florida in 2008, as well as a full complement of surveys in Mississippi in 2008.
